Radio Nordzee

Unsere Tour durch Holland führte uns in die Landstudios von Radio Nordzee, dem niederländisch-sprachigen Angebot von RNI. Die 1928 gegründete Mediengruppe Strengholt BV hatte ihren Sitz in Naarden in "Hofstede Oud-Bussum", einem imposanten Anwesen mit über 400jähriger Geschichte. Die Studios des angegliederten Radio Nordzee waren in einem Nebengebäude untergebracht.
John de Mol Jr. führte uns durch die Studios. Er arbeitete als DJ bei Radio Nordzee. Er war der spätere Mitbegründer von Endemol Entertainment.
Our tour through Holland took us to the landbased studios of Radio Nordzee, the Dutch-language part of RNI. Founded in 1928, the Strengholt BV media group was based in Naarden in "Hofstede Oud-Bussum", an imposing estate with over 400 years of history. The studios of the attached Radio Nordzee were accommodated in an adjoining building.
John de Mol Jr. led us through the studios. He worked as a DJ at Radio Nordzee. Later he was the co-founder of Endemol Entertainment.

Die Programme wurden einige Tage im voraus auf Tonband produziert und dann in wasserfesten Tonnen zum Schiff gebracht.
The programs were pre-recorded on tape a few days in advance and then brought to the ship in water-tight barrels.

Zum Ende unseres Besuchs wurden wir noch ins Büro geführt wo zwei Damen für administrative Aufgaben zuständig waren. Man versicherte uns, dass jeder der vielen Hörerbriefe gelesen und beantwortet würde. Das Plattenarchiv war in einer Ecke des Büros untergebracht.
At the end of our visit, we were taken to the office where two ladies were responsible for administrative tasks. We were assured that each of the many listeners' letters would be read and answered. The record library was housed in a corner of the office.
